We have a new opportunity for Principal Consultants to join a dynamic and major expansion of our clients financial services practice. Our client is looking for experienced management consultants who represent excellence in delivery and client credibility. Our client has an extensive growth strategy and as such requires candidates with experience within or across:

·      Retail Banking

·      Commercial Banking

·      Asset Management

·      Investment Banking

This tier 1 one firm have client requirements for consultants across the business and technical advisory space, to be successful you will need to demonstrate a core experience within at least one of the below core competency areas:

·      Strategy

·      Business process re-engineering

·      Business technology

·      Risk advisory & Regulatory change

No other practice will give you the depth and spread of UK financial service industry experience cutting across mega FTSE10 to fast growing mid-market firms within such a globally recognised and globally respected organisation. This business will maximise your potential and develop your core and ancillary skills, preparing you for a career progression that makes you a financial services subject matter expert with a wealth of cross market client credibility. You will come from a Big 4 Advisory firm or another Tier 1 business advisory or technology system integrator, industry based candidates will need to demonstrate a depth of project based experience and come from a major blue chip brand within the financial services space or have had a prior career providing business advisory services to the financial markets. 

Across Strategy, process, IT, and Risk advisory roles successful candidates will have a good balance between project management skills along with significant technical knowledge in your field of expertise. Your prior project/programme successes will have made you a highly credible individual trusted when communicating options and solutions to client stakeholders.

Specific skills qualifications and experience:

·         broad consulting and project management skills, effective written and oral communication skills

·         a bachelor\\\'s degree and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience;

·         an MBA,  master\\\'s degree and/or additional professional qualifications would be highly desirable

·         a minimum of 2 years current direct relevant market vertical experience consulting to retail banks or within capital markets or comparable experience working as an advisor to/within a financial services company

·         you will be strongly tuned into current and upcoming financial services industry issues

·         You will have good stakeholder management skills at all levels strong analytical and problem solving skills and demonstrated knowledge in at least one of the below areas:

o    Risk & Regulatory Advisory

o    Measurement, modelling and management of Liquidity, Credit, Market, or Operational Risk. Risk Frameworks, ALM, RAROC etc.

o    Detailed understanding of Basel III, retail distribution review, new retail products, operational controls.

o    Business process change

o    Business process re-engineering, target operating model design, financial effectiveness, cultural change, organisational design, strategic and tactical cost reduction, supply chain, and customer experience. Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

o    IT change and optimisation

o    Covering business analysis, systems selection, design, Architecture, and implementation. ERP/GL Applications, integration and rationalisation of IT estate, 3rd party vendor management, IT sourcing, IT due diligence, data and information management. SDLC, Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

o    These roles are part of the national practice structure and delivery orientated, as such the ability to travel nationally and be on client site sometimes for extended periods is very important.
