Our client is a mid sized private partnership consultancy based out of London.  As part of their ongoing success with their blue chip clients they are looking at controlled growth in high demand areas.

This role is to lead a variety of Business Strategy and Transformation projects across all stages of a project lifecycle from developing a strategy supported by a business case to building and implementing and driving business transformation. Consultants work on client projects, performing a number of activities including:

  • Business strategy
  • Business Transformation
  • Growth strategies
  • Target Operating Model design
  • Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Business Process Re engineering
  • Business case development
  • Operational Excellence
  • Customer strategy
  • Product Strategy
  • Supply Chain Principles
  • Awareness or experience of lean six sigma tools and techniques
  • Business Requirements definition
  • Solution development
  • Project management from planning through to delivery and rollout
  • End-to-end process modelling and user acceptance management
  • Change management planning and deployment
  • Senior client stakeholder management

Main Accountabilities

  • Management Consulting:
    • leads BST strategy and implementation projects within our accounts
    • leads project teams consisting of both consultants and client employees
  • Engagement Management:
    • Manages engagement risk
    • Manages project economics including planning and budgeting
    • Manages billing and cash collections
    • Ensures quality of deliverable content
  • Business Development:
    • supports sales pursuits within current and new accounts and to help build long term qualified sales pipeline
    • develops and maintains contact with top decision makers at key clients
    • organises and leads bid teams
    • participates or leads aspects of the proposal development process
  • Knowledge Development:
    • supports the development of the company\'s BST solutions
    • supports marketing campaigns that improve UK awareness of the company\'s BST offerings
    • provides insights into the implications and opportunities that major market trends have on BST and how these impact their clients

Competencies

  • Business Transformation and/or  Operational Excellence consulting experience with a major consulting organisation or industry experience
  • Minimum of 2 full lifecycle BST / OpEx workstream lead experience for team of a minimum of 5 people
  • Experience of managing a project valued at over £250k
  • Business Transformation content knowledge across Strategy, Growth, lean. Six sigma, Operational Excellence, process transformation aligned to the ability to analyse problems, translating them into business requirements which can then be developed into client solutions
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with senior management level executives both internally and within their clients
  • Both sales/account development and delivery experience:
    • Experience of selling business, played a key role in a team that has won business and /or selling on into existing clients where you are already engaged
  • Capable of consulting proposal development and then onward delivery

Desirable

  • BST / OpEx experience gained at a top tier consultancy
  • Exiting a blue chip company graduate scheme which has provided focus on BST / OPEX
  • BST / OPEX focused projects within industry
  • Experience in Telco, Automotive, Health, Oil and Gas, financial services, public sector
